We were happy for the opportunity to play again at the annual Veterans Banquet at the local American Legion. It’s always a fantastic event – the people are so kind and we’re glad to help out when they get to the raffle baskets too. There are so many generous donations and it’s fun to see how people react when their ticket is drawn! This year’s speaker was amazing too, I was so glad to hear his message – it was inspiring and informative, delivered with passion and skill.
New songs for tonight: You Ain’t Much Fun by Toby Keith and Travelin’ Soldier by the Chicks (I managed to get through it without crying, which is no small accomplishment!)
And true to form, I didn’t get a photo, so I’ve used the flyer. Ah well – we can’t be good at everything, right?
